· B.S. or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 years or more of hands-on experience with circuit board design
· Extensive experience with Altium Designer or equivalent PCB design suite
· Experience/familiarity with the following:
· Embedded microprocessors/microcontrollers (1MHz - 1GHz)
· High current actuation control
· High-speed signal routing (differential
impedance controlled
etc.)
· Communications interfaces including UART (RS232/422/485)
CAN
Ethernet (AFDX a plus)
SPI
I2C
etc.
· Memory device interfaces (NAND
NOR
MMC/SD
SRAM
etc.)
· Power supply design
· Analog sensor interfacing
· Experience interfacing electro-mechanical devices
· Excellent practical knowledge of EE lab equipment such as DMM's

Job Description:
The desired Sr. Hardware Engineer candidate will have experience in designing embedded systems for various applications. He/she will be able to work with our avionics team through all phases of the development process from conceptual design through verification. Experience with safety-critical system design as well as aerospace standards is a plus. Must be a self-starter requiring little oversight to create functional devices. Candidate should have experience with generating documentation and working with board houses on building production-level assemblies. Ability to write and understand source code is not required, but the candidate should be able to communicate effectively with the software group.
